Founded in 1999 as a gourmet pet bakery at Gull Crossing Plaza, Bone Appetit added grooming in 2002. Monique became owner in 2006. When the plaza was sold for Menards in 2013, the shop moved to its current home in Main Street Plaza.
Grooming is by appointment. Services include bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, breed-standard hair trimming, hand drying, brushing, and external gland expression when needed. Prices depend on breed, temperament, coat condition and individual needs. Call for a quote.
The original grooming page advertises cats, but its FAQ says cat grooming is not offered. Please call to confirm cat services before booking.

Choose gourmet, bulk and seasonal treats, birthday cakes and party platters. Custom cakes require at least 48 hours; party platters require 14 days. Large bone-shaped cakes have two apple-cinnamon cookies for your dog's name and age. Personal-sized cakes have one name cookie and the age written on the cake.
Custom cookies require a minimum of 12 and 14 days' notice. Wholesale orders have a $100 minimum. Same-day options may include small birthday cakes, party cookies, paw cupcakes and bone cupcakes. Call for availability and ingredients.
The shop also carries fully cooked, hickory-smoked products from Polet's Smoked Bones.
Cakes have no preservatives, look best on pickup day, and the site's guidance is to refrigerate and use within 3–5 days. Dried gourmet cookies have a stated six-month shelf life. Human-grade ingredients do not mean the treats are approved for human consumption.
The listed yogurt icing contains yogurt powder, non-fat milk powder, modified tapioca starch, egg whites, tapioca maltodextrin, apple pectin, granulated rice and a small amount of titanium dioxide for color. The site describes the icing—not every treat—as wheat-, soy-, corn- and preservative-free, with no added sugars or hydrogenated fats. Ask about individual recipes and allergies.
Gourmet cookies can be shipped; cakes cannot. Custom-order delivery is not offered.
The FAQ lists rabies, distemper and annual Bordetella vaccinations for dogs. The team does not sedate pets; discuss medication with your veterinarian. Guardians cannot stay for the grooming process, and the team calls or texts when pickup is ready.
Outside shampoos and conditioners are accepted only when ordered by a vet. Home bathing does not replace the salon's preparation for a haircut. Mats are not brushed out: comfort comes first. Longer coats require daily brushing and combing; the team may recommend appointments every 2–6 weeks based on coat and breed.
Treat known fleas before an appointment and clean bedding, toys, collars and other living areas. The source FAQ is inconsistent about flea baths: it says they are not offered, then lists limited dog-only shampoo conditions. Call for current policy; it states no cat flea baths or flea dips, and no treatment within 24 hours of another flea bath. It mentions age and weight restrictions that should be confirmed with the salon and your vet.
The team attempts to remove ticks it finds and informs the guardian. Repeated flea or tick issues may lead to service being declined until the pet is on treatment. Bird beak trimming is not offered.
